Trendsetter client Transit premiered its newest music video for “Skipping Stone” this morning on MTV’s Buzzworthy Blog. The video visualizes the heartache, relationship woes, and ultimate parting that lead singer Joe Boynton narrates throughout the song. Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, the quintet has become known for combining its pop-punk roots with a more alternative, indie-rock sound. Founded in 2006, Transit has debuted seven releases in the past four years that have received accolades from AbsolutePunk, AltPress, and more. Transit’s third album, Listen and Forgive, was released in October 2011 and reached number 9 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. If “Skipping Stone” sounds familiar, it’s because the single is an alternate version of a song previously released by the band. The alternate version is a bonus track included on the July 17th deluxe reissue of Listen and Forgive, and the song was released as a 7” to accompany the re-release. The band has toured with veterans such as Saves the Day, Bayside, Four Year Strong, Man Overboard, and more, and it recently completed a stint on this year’s Warped Tour. Transit will begin an international headlining tour in mid-August, followed by a supporting slot on Taking Back Sunday’s fall tour.
