As featured on Billboard, Variety, and Music Business Worldwide, Slip.stream is in the music industry spotlight this week. Through a first-of-its-kind partnership, Insomniac Music Group’s music catalog, including songs from over 120 artists, will be made available and claim-free on all platforms for creators, gamers, brands, and companies via Slip.stream’s easy online subscription license. A trailblazing force within the electronic music space, Insomniac Music Group has established itself as a one-stop destination for music distribution, publishing, label management, sponsorship, and festival/club integration. Its expansive umbrella of labels includes genre-shaping imprints such as Insomniac Records, HARD Recs, Bassrush, Factory 93, in addition to artist-driven imprints like NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations, Wax Motif’s Divided Souls, and Jericho’s NIGHTMODE to name a few.
Slip.stream is the largest free creator safe music platform with over 65,000 tracks, 60,000 sound effects, and over 200k+ creators. The platform provides its users access to music from some of the most-respected record labels and artists in the industry, setting them apart from competitors who have more restrictive music policies. Slip.stream offers a way for rights holders like Insomniac to continue to protect and monetize their music on all platforms including YouTube, while properly licensing them to content creators across the world via Slip.stream’s easy online subscription license.
Regarding the partnership, Slip.stream’s Co-CEO, Dan Demole shares “Making Insomniac’s music available for our creators to safely use in their content is a massive step forward in our mission to bridge the world of user generated content with labels, publishers, and artists. I’m excited to see what our creators do with Insomniac’s incredible catalog of songs. Our integration with FUGA opens up endless opportunities for us to deliver top quality music to creators while creating new monetization and marketing opportunities for artists.”
Joe Wiseman, Director at Insomniac Music Group adds “This partnership is paving the way for a future that aligns with our core vision. The complexities of traditional music licensing can be challenging, but our collaboration with Slip.stream and FUGA has brought about a game-changing solution. By leveraging technology, we’re creating opportunities for creators to thrive and new ways to support our talented artists.”
Through FUGA’s Licensease API technology, Slip.stream is able to properly protect Insomniac’s copyrights on YouTube while allowing creators to safely use the music and monetize their videos. This is the first label partnership for Slip.stream that utilizes this technology, but opens up the opportunity to all of FUGA’s label clients.
Zach Koche, Business Development Director, Americas at FUGA adds “Insomniac is a highly innovative partner and by working with them and Slip.stream, FUGA is proud to be actively working towards a more progressive, creator-friendly industry where the process for using our clients’ content is streamlined and simplified.”
The Insomniac catalog is available to Pro and Commercial subscribers on Slip.stream, though creators can sign-up free with access to the rest of the Slip.stream catalog.
