Trendsetter is thrilled to be working alongside singer, songwriter and recording artist Greyson Chance on the video for his highly anticipated new single “shut up” . Released via AWAL, the new single follows a slew of recordings Chance has released over the course of the last year, including well-received singles “Low” and “Good As Gold.”
“shut up” is included on Chance’s latest studio album titled portraits, which was released through AWAL this past March. A 16-city North American tour in support of the new music kicked off February 22nd in Washington D.C. and hit a number of major cities including New York, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago.
A native of Edmond, Oklahoma, Greyson Chance came into the national spotlight in 2010, after an unforgettable performance of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” was viewed by over 60 million people on YouTube. What followed was a plethora of national television appearances, world tours and a debut album release “Hold On ‘Til The Night” in 2011. In 2012, Chance released his EP Truth Be Told, Part 1 which included single “Sunshine & City Lights,” followed by 2016’s EP release Somewhere Over My Head, including single “Back on the Wall.” Greyson came out publically as gay in 2017 and credits his family for making it a loving experience. An outspoken advocate for those who aren’t as fortunate to have a positive experience, Greyson uses his platform to be a resource and champion for others in the LGBTQ community. This past month, Chance returned to the Ellen show, where he first appeared when he was 12 years old, to perform the new single.
