Aloe Blacc kicks off the summer season with the video for his latest single “Brooklyn in the Summer.” The nostalgic ballad mixes soul, folk, R&B, and pop and reminisces on the memories Brooklyn brings of a past relationship. Though the song recounts the pain that these memories may bring, the bright, colorful video sheds light upon the beauty of the city and its people and sparks hope of finding love again.

American musician, singer, and songwriter Aloe Blacc is best known for his singles “The Man” and “I Need a Dollar”. Blacc wrote and performed the vocals on Avicii’s song “Wake Me Up”, in which the two faced insurmountable success, topping the charts in over 22 countries. In the span of his career Blacc has released three albums titled Shine Through (2006), Good Things (2010), and Lift Your Spirit (2013).
