Trendsetter secured a pretty sweet premiere for Brian Lane and his new band, Shone. The new video for their single “Kin” premiered on mtvU, airing every hour on the hour (beginning at 6am), along with homepage placement on mtvU.com and love from MTV Buzzworthy.
As Brand New’s drummer for nearly 12 years, Brian formed Shone while Brand New was not currently recording/touring. The band conceptualized a really cool viral campaign to announce their inception which ended up being the most commented thread ever on Absolutepunk. This also led to their nomination from MTV-O Music Awards in the “Analog Genius” category.
