Commonly known on YouTube as That Poppy, the young singer songwriter has taken the YouTube world by storm, posting a slew of bizarre one-liner videos behind the same monochromatic background and racking up millions of views in the process. This time, Poppy has released a new video of the music variety for her song “Computer Boy,” a tongue-in-cheek track about a girl who is in love with her computer. The video, which was posted three days ago, has already managed to rack up nearly 900,000 views.

The Nashville-born Internet star first got her start in the music world in 2015 when she released a cover of Mac DeMarco’s “My Kind of Woman,” which was well received by her fans. She continued to pursue her career further, releasing her first single “Everybody Wants to be Poppy” months later, followed by her reggae-inspired hit single “Lowlife” with Island Records. “Lowlife” has an impressive 18 million views on YouTube and 6 million streams on Spotify. The young, wide-eyed, platinum blonde singer is compared to Grimes, Charlie XCX, and Icona Pop and feels that she writes “music [that] makes people want to take over the world.”
