We are excited to welcome LA-based singer, songwriter, and former City of The Sun frontman and founding member, Trubdr. Adam Road to the Trendsetter 2018 roster with the release of his music video “Ain’t No Love.”

The official video was co-written, produced, and directed by Stephen Wayne Mallet and Adam himself which features Adam being lead by his love interest (Alli Hart) and her other lover (played by American Crime Story’s, Giovanni Cirfiera) to dig what seems to be his own grave portraying an illusion of a toxic relationship.
The blues-y alternative rock track intertwines heavy guitar driven leads to near acapella sections. The ebb and flow of musical energy create a rush each time the chorus kicks back in.
This release follows Road’s album Exile From the City, released in Fall 2017. Along with multiple performances, including a Sofar Sounds residency in LA, Trubdr. is gearing up to release loads of new content n the forthcoming months.
“Ain’t No Love” is to play on Netflix’s Jessica Jones and UFC’s Road To The Octogan in their upcoming seasons, much like the previous single “If God Don’t Follow Me” which was featured on MTV’s Teen Wolf and The CW’S hit series The Originals.

Troubadour Adam Road is an LA-based musician whose music channels harmonic and rhythmic sounds of flamenco style guitar with a mix of indie, folk, rock, and gypsy blues. Born in Colorado, Adam started writing and playing music from the moment he picked up a pen. Adam moved to New York City where he started his music career jamming with a friend on a park bench. This led the two of them to become street performers and forming the band, City of the Sun.
In 2014, he left the band and within the first couple of days, Trubdr. Adam Road was offered a deal with Yebo Music, recording his debut album (eventually released independently via R.U.GVLABL in late 2017), “Exile From the City.” The first single, “If God Don’t Follow Me” (ft. Brooklyn-based vocalist Danielle Parente) was placed by the TV shows Teen Wolf and The Originals. “If God Don’t Follow Me” has garnered over a million plays across the board.
Though an independent artist, Trubdr. Adam Road works closely with musical director and renowned bassist, Sam Mendel. Together, they build an ever-changing live act around the duo allowing the live show to take a new shape at every performance. His music has caught the attention of prominent figures such as, 6-time Grammy Award winning producer (U2, Jason Mraz, Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews), Steve Lilywhite, who said that Trubdr. Adam Road is “as good as Hozier.” Following that, he and his manager and business partner, Yael Kempe both are now funding a freelance management company called R.U.GVLABL, which is responsible for all Trubdr. Adam Road’s releases.
Trubdr.’s song “Aint No Love” is to play on Netflix’s Jessica Jones and UFC’s Road To The Octogan in its upcoming seasons. Trubdr. Adam Road has recently finished his U.S. tour and is currently based in Los Angeles.
