Trendsetter is excited to welcome the new star of pop music and Latin pop Sammi Sanchez to the 2018 roster with her latest single, “Pum Pum,” featuring one of the best-known names in Latin music, reggaeton Colombian Reykon.

Possessing a passion for the rhythm of a powerful theme of Dancehall with a modern remake of the successful, “Tu Pun Pun” by El General, the single promises undeniable success for any occasion or musical palette with Sammi’s Sanchez’s contemporary vibe and Reykons sensual and unique flow.
Filmed under the direction of Roxxana Baldwin, who’s worked with artists from Kehlani to Lil Uzi Vert and Gucci Mane, the music video was filmed in Los Angeles and “is basically a tribute to the hit song El General,” said Sanchez herself. “ I grew up listening to the music of The General in my house when I was a kid, so it was natural to recreate one of his classic and open a new generation to music. the video recording was fun, Reykon was amazing and so brought energy to the video. it’s a very sweet and down-to-earth person, I hope to work more with him in the future.”

Sammi Sanchez’s career began in 2011 when a YouTube video of her singing “Baby” by Justin Bieber and became viral. After accumulating a fan base by posting covers of great songs from artists like Rihanna and Sia, she released her first original song, “Butterflies” on Radio Disney in 2014. A year later, she was discovered by the executive industry veteran and former American Idol judge Randy Jackson, who saw unprecedented talent in the young singer and began managing his career. Her biggest hit, “Girls Talk (Latin Remix)” which launched in 2016, has surpassed more than 10 million views on Spotify. Sammi is proud to be Mexican-American and is reflected in his music she defined as a “Spanglish-pop wave.”
