Alyson Stoner released her highly anticipated music video for her brand new single “Pretty Girls” this afternoon. The single is now available on iTunes and is set to be featured in upcoming movie, Sugar Babies, set to debut later this month. The twenty-one year old delivers a mature, sophisticated new look in the pop single while paying homage to her Missy Elliott roots. Packing in stellar choreography, hypotonic verses and a complete narrative, this music video has seriously got it all.
“I wrote ‘Pretty Girls’ with Maze Runner’s Dexter Darden and producer Rob Grimaldi about the power of beauty in culture and how women use it to get their way,” explains Stoner. “In my new film Sugar Babies, my character finds herself in an arrangement with a ‘sugar daddy’ and must navigate what it means to mix love and money, superficiality and authenticity. Our song is edgy with mysterious and seductive vocals, which parallels the artificial elements and tempting allure of arranged companionships with benefits.”
Last month, Stoner made headlines when she released her iconic “Missy Elliott Tribute Video“, which has now surpassed 13 million views, a tribute to the artist that essentially launched her career.
While it’s been some time since her pig-tailed dancing days alongside Missy Elliott, Alyson Stoner has spent her time acting in numerous box office hits such as Cheaper By The Dozen 1 & 2, Step Up and Camp Rock franchises, as well as the voice of Isabella in the cartoon Phineas & Ferb.
