LENNON MURPHY IS BACK WITH IT’S WAR
Female Rocker’s New Band Breaking At Radio, Releases New Music Video
Lennon (Lennon Murphy by birth) has ended her hiatus from limelight when she released her bands new single, Heart via Epicaly Dumb Records. Lennon, a hard-rocking songwriter, producer and pianist, immediately became a critical darling with the release of her debut, 5:30 Saturday Morning, on Arista in 2001. She’s ready to launch another aural assault on the world fronting her new band, It’s War.
The groups songs are an unlikely mix of confessional songwriting and hard-rock musicality with super pop hooks that are an anomaly among many of her female and male contemporaries. Between her debut and the upcoming release, Lennon kept busy by touring with Alice Cooper, The Cult, Warped Tour, Heart, Pat Benatar, Aerosmith, and Motley Crue (among others) and has had charting singles at Top 40, and Active Rock as a songwriter and record producer for many other artists.
As for her upcoming It’s War release, Lennon couldn’t be happier. “This Band is definitely more me than any of my past projects. We have spent the last 3 years making sure the music from It’s War was more powerful then any of its band members.”
