It’s been a busy year for the band, Issues and it isn’t stopping at their self-titled release. Issues Self-Titled (via Rise Records) release dropped February 18th, with some huge buzz, and for good reason. The album reached number 1 in the US, Number 2 in the UK and Canada, and Number 3 in Japan. Not bad for a first week. Issues Self-Titled follows up their 2012 release of Black Diamonds, with a musically diversified sound that critics and fans alike are praising. The band is currently alongside Rise Records label-mates, Of Mice and Men on “The American Dream Tour” with Bring Me The Horizon, Letlive, and Northlane.
Not only did the release do extremely well on their first week, but the bands album announcement was one of the most clever album reveals I’ve personally ever seen. Through one of the most popular iPhone apps, Instagram, the band split up parts of the album and posted them as small photos that could only be seen through a users mobile device. The account received over 5,000 followers in just a short week. See it for yourself on their Self-Titled Instagram page.
Be sure to check out one of the bands songs off Self-Titled called “Stingray Affliction” and find them online at their official Facebook & Twitter pages.
