Ahead of a packed schedule of festival appearances, Hayden James today delivers the video to his latest floor-filler, “Better Together” featuring Running Touch. A seductive and emphatic visual, the video arrives with the announcement of a remix competition, seeing fans direct their own edit of the official video, with Hayden to select a winning submission.
Mirroring the intensifying energy of the track, the clip directed by Timothy James Lovett, throws two lovers into desolate and disparate settings. Shot between an isolated forest and an abandoned car park, the pair bring to life the re-emergence of past loves and unresolved feelings, desperately pulling towards one another against the backdrop of the track’s infectious melody and signature hook.
Hayden today opens up the editor role to the public, giving fans a chance to put their own creative interpretation on the film clip with a remix competition. Releasing the raw shoot footage, fans will be able to direct their own edit of the official music video, with the winning submission to be chosen by Hayden himself.
Since its premiere on triple j Breakfast, “Better Together” has proven to be a stellar fan favourite from the producer, reaching over 4.5 million streams. Hayden’s previous mammoth singles “Just Friends” feat. Boy Matthews and “Numb” feat. GRAACE caught the attention of the nation, and both gained platinum certification and unanimous support.
Following a run of headline shows across the US and a sold-out national tour, Hayden now gears up for a round of festival slots over summer including Byron Bay’s Beach Hotel, Falls Festival, Perth’s Origin Festival, Sydney’s NYE In The Park and Brisbane’s New Years Eve at The Met. Today’s “Better Together” video is Hayden’s gift to fans, giving all another chance to revel in the track’s irresistible beat and create their own “Better Together” storyline.
