Upon their forthcoming album, The Path, Fit For A King has ignited a new chapter with the release of their latest single “Locked (In My Head),” delivering a personal, heavy-hitting anthem that fans will be able to relate to. “Locked (In My Head)” tells of the hardships the band members have faced mentally. Teaming up with Revolver Magazine, the band premiered their official video with outstanding visuals that encapsulate the fire behind Fit For A King.
“While Locked may seem a little out of place on an album centered around victory and overcoming life’s challenges, it’s a song about understanding that all the mental things we fight through can only be defeated by our own will and perseverance,” front man Ryan Kirby shares. “Along the road, we will get help, whether from God or others, but at the end of it all, it’s a war that YOU must fight, and YOU must win.”
“Locked (In My Head)” joins “God of Fire” and “Breaking The Mirror” as the third single from the band’s upcoming sixth album The Path due via Solid State Records on September 18, 2020. Bigger, bolder and overwhelmingly epic in scope, The Path leans harder on the “metal” side of their sound, with shredding guitar solos, while doubling down on the massive catchy choruses that propelled their fiercest fan-favorite anthems.
The Path comes on the heels of the band’s 2018 smash hit Dark Skies, which topped the chart categories at #2 in Hard Rock and #3 in Rock. Although The Path digs deeper into a harder sound, the lesson is universal: fighting inner demons and overcoming personal challenges is something everyone has experienced.
Fit For A King has created a soundtrack to give fans guidance in mind and knowing that no matter who you are, you can win any fight, mentally or physically, if you believe you can.
