After posting several videos online showcasing his natural, soulful R&B vocals, at the age of 12 he was invited to join The Ellen Show for an interview and performance. Shortly after, Cam was signed to Dre. Dre’s ‘Aftermath Entertainment‘ record label. Now at 15 years old (like JUST 15, his birthday was on Friday!), he is debuting his first original song & video “How Can I Forgive Ya?!”. To celebrate his birthday, Cam held a release party / birthday party to commemorate the event, and featured live performances by Cam Anthony, Malaya Watson, who finished in eighth place on American Idol in 2014, DJs, and other vocal and dance performers throughout the party. The Block Party also featured: games with prizes; dance contests; karaoke; photo booths; carnival food vendors; etc.
Last year, Cam performed “Change Gonna Come” and “Glory” at the 2015 NAACP National Convention in Philadelphia, alongside some of R&B’s best, including Eric Benét, Eddie Levert, Chrisette Michele and Howard Hewitt. Prior to his performance, he appeared on his first radio interview with Frankie Darcell at WDAS, Philly’s R&B/Classic Soul station. Cam also performed at the 2015 Tom Joyner Family Reunion in Orlando.
