the Summer Olympics, but believe male athletes get more media attention than the females. As
the destination for girl culture and empowerment, Sweety High, will share the inspirational
stories of these Olympians as they prepare for the 2016 Summer Games in Rio in this show.
This show offers girls an intimate and inspirational look at the struggles and sacrifices that elite
female athletes face in trying to reach for their dreams.
Featuring 2012 Gold Medalist, DeeDee Trotter, 2012 Silver Medal Winner Haley Anderson and
Anita Alvarez and Mariya Koroleva, Race to Rio allows viewers to inhabit the world of each of
these competitors and get a deeper perspective into the challenges of training for the ultimate
sports competition, the Olympics. The series consists of three short-form video episodes each 5
minutes in length.
Race to Rio will premiere on the Sweety High website prior to the opening ceremonies 2016
Summer Olympics.
